Most troubled teen programs and facilities are abusive false marketing organizations that only care about money ignoring the welfare of it's residents. Many teenagers are traumatized or even killed from the abuse they practice. For those unlucky, it was a death trip that their parents were unaware of.

Aljazeera America on Therapeutic Boarding Schools (40th Post!)
It looks like Diamond Ranch Academy is back in the news again. Aljazeera has posted a news archive on the abusive troubled teen industry, particularly in Utah. It's one of the facilities they talk about as DRA's lawyers continue to deny the allegations of abuse and fraudulent practices. This includes the threats of lawsuits to parties exposing the truth based on the stories of former students such as what they give out on DRA Survivors website.
It's that same scare tactic that took down a show on LA Talk Radio called "Bipolar Nation". Bipolar Nation Radio also exposed the corrupt mental health care and special education system that helps feed facilities like DRA. You can still listen to archives on Podbean.
I was scheduled to be interviewed on Bipolar Nation Radio in August of last year. Unfortunately after they were threatened by a lawsuit by DRA's lawyers, LA Talk Radio pulled the plug on the show. After their last podcast, the hosts of the show decided to go on hiatus. They said they were to eventually return as an independent broadcast. However it turns out that their Facebook fan page has been taken down, making me loose hope that they'll ever bring back the show. In the mean time, I have decided to look for other independent radio podcast with a similar format to Bipolar Nation to share my story that I have once shared on this blog. These are important issues that are never given media attention and no one will be willing to talk about. There needs someone to stand up with a voice, otherwise it will never stop.
However the reason dangerous places like DRA and WWASPS exist is because there is little to no help for both emotionally disturbed and other special needs children in both public and private schools. So education consultants, school districts, and insurance companies outsource them to unlicensed/unregulated facilities that mimic prisons under the disguise of a typical middle/high school setting. Notice the satellite image of Diamond Ranch Academy and it's fancy football and baseball fields that former students claim "are never used"? This is entirely done for show to appeal to parents who may think "Wow! My son gets to play football for his school like he always wanted". Reality sets in, and instead the children are doing grueling drill exercises in 115 degree heat as punishment. It's done to help farm children into a School to Prison Pipeline or to let them die. This serves as part of an underground eugenics movement.
There are many more "schools" that do just that. Since education consultants are not required to be licensed, don't believe them when they say "it's the only option for children with these specific issues" or "he can do activities he loves while getting the help he needs". There are other private and public options, you just need to get them help in the community for the time being. This can be done during the admissions process to another school.
However, such schools are so scarce and are even diminishing. We have to stand up before the only places left are the eugenics facilities owned UHS/PSI and CRC Health Group and supported by our federal government.
